The new NEX C3 model, which we presume will replace the NEX-3 and possibly NEX-5 in one foul swoop, will according to the leaked specs feature a brand new 16.2 megapixel Exmor sensor from Sony, 720p video recording and an ISO range between 200 and 12800.

Other new features include 25 AF points, and a 3-inch LCD screen around the back that folds out for users to get a better angle on what's going on.

The NEX C3 will also, supposedly, include built-in HDR functionality as well as new picture effects.

The compact camera, judging from what look to be official press shots, is fairly compact in its design sporting an overly large 3.5-5.6, 18-55mm lens on the front.

The expected US price for the Sony NEX C3 is $600

But it’s not the only camera supposedly being prepped for launch on the 3 June. According to rumours the company will also be announcing the launch of the Sony Alpha A35 - a new DSLR from the company.

Its reportedly rumoured specs will include a 16-megapixel CMOS Exmor sensor, full 1080p video recording in AVCHD and 3D sweep panorama.

Other features teased in the leaked specs include 15 AF points and 7 frames a second shooting.

The expected US price for the A35 is $700
