Have you ever dreamt of getting paid to be a hacker? The word “hacker” here I mean to be an Ethical Hacker. What is Ethical Hacking? Ethical Hacking is carried out by the computer and network experts to attack on a system for the system’s owners, seeking vulnerabilities that a malicious hacker or cracker could exploit. I am working as an IT staff in a huge hospitality company in which casino business is the main business and I know the importance of customers’ data and their protection.
There is a course that makes you a Certified Ethical Hacker (or CEH). This course is very interesting and is aimed at software testers and IT Security professionals. EC-Council offers courses in Security Fundamentals, Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Computer Forensics, Disaster Recovery and Secure Programming. They supplied me with a review copy, and I can tell you, these books offer a wealth of information about known vulnerabilities, software tools and appropriate countermeasures. If hacking is about thinking outside the box, knowing what others have put into that box sounds like a good start. I fully believe that this course will make you a ‘certified ethical hacker’. For those still considering what career to go into, this might be a way to go. I mean, how cool would it be, to list down your occupation as a Professional Hacker? Cool!
